CREMORNE APARTMENT ADDITION. 2013
As quoted by Marianne Foley (ARUP Leader of Consulting - in Fire Engineering)
'this was one of the most complex fire upgrade projects I have ever worked on' The installation of a luxury 2 bedroom penthouse into the roof of a heritage 110 year old building complete with private elevator, while a boutique hotel operated continuously beneath was a particularly challenging project. The fire and acoustic requirements to meet and exceed the BCA within the constraints of heritage maintenance was complex and very difficult. The result once completed on time and on budget is a luxury penthouse with astounding quality where every possible space was utilised given the high end value of the usable floor area. In addition the resulting acoustic transmittal was vastly exceeding required by the BCA and allowed for the penthouse to be above existing rooms without any noise disruption
